One Asia Book collection inaugurated in DLRC

Library’s top borrowers get recognized

To further the institution’s educational and literary competence, Phil. Ambassador Rosalinda Tirona and SDCA Founding President Dr. Marita Andaman-Rillo opened the One Asia Book Collection and Book Therapy Corner to the SDCA Community, Nov. 27 at the Dominican Learning Resource Center.

The awarding of the DLRC’s top library borrowers was also held. The awardees are Federico Castro of SASE, SBCS’ Agripino Licauco, Romeo Ongpoy from SHSP, Edgar Encinas of SIHTM, and Jherum Espejo of the Registrar’s Office. From the School of Business and Computer Studies were BSA student Edmond Buenviaje, John Carlo Bonus of BSBA, Simon Joseph Ocampo of ABMMA, and 
Gilbert Dela Cruz from BSIT, while the School of Arts, Sciences and Education had Jelli Ann Resureccion of BSED, Patricia Julie Ann Bautista of BSPSY,  Zarrah Jane Manarin of BEED, and Stephanie Palpallatoc of ABCOMM.

Dayle Daniel Sorveto from BSMT, Emilyne Pagsolingan of BSPT, Julie Ann Dy from BSN, Simon Jervis Monzon of BSRT  and Anjunel Bautista of BSPH were the School of Health and Science Professions’ top library borrowers, and Ma. KC Lyn Joy Ignacio from BSHM and Rose Anne Montoya from BSTM came from the School of International Tourism and Hospitality Management.

In attendance were VPAAR Dr. Nilda Balsicas, SDCA Registrar Engineer Bernardita Escuril, SHTM Dean Alex Magnaye, SBCS Dean Noel Sergio, SDCA Finance Director Mariano Ching, Department of Student Affairs and Services Director Jonathan V. Sta. Ana, SDCA Center of Social Action head Dr. Zenaida Sadiwa, and other SDCA employees. Communication Program Chair, Antonio H. Albuladora was the event’s Master of Ceremony, while the invocation was carried out by DLRC Student Assistants.
