SDCA goes Tikim-Tikim!

As part of the 10th Founding festivities, the annual “Tikim-Tikim Challenge”¸ a showcase of different Asian cuisines and dishes and participated by the four departments along with St. Dominic College – Basic Education students, November 27 at Cafe Alfresco Hall.

The School of International Hospitality and Tourism Management received the best booth award for their Vietnamese cuisine showcase, while the Basic Education department received the best buffet award for their take on Thailand cuisine. 

The School of Health and Science Professions also took Thai cuisine as its booth’s theme, as the School of Arts, Sciences and Education displayed South East Asian foods. The booth of the School of Business and Computer Studies revolved around Singaporean cuisine.


Faculty Research Capability Seminar conducted

To embrace the culture of research in St. Dominic College of Asia, the institution held the Faculty Research Capability Seminar, attended by SDCA Faculty members, Nov. 26 at the Doña Dominga Andaman Hall. 

University of Santo Tomas researcher Dr. Allan B. De Guzman was the event’s guest resource speaker, who discussed how important research was to help an institution attain its true form. SDCA President Dr. Gregorio A. Andaman Jr. and School of Arts, Sciences and Education Dean Dr. Teresita Pedrajas graced the event.

Faculty members from the four departments who attended the seminar were given tips on increasing the institution’s research potential and ability in doing competent research.
