Mr. and Ms. SBCS Crowned

Prince Oropel and Judy Ann Derla were crowned Mr. and Ms. SBCS 2013 during coronation night that served as the culmination of the SBCS Week held Sep. 18 at the Don Gregorio M. Andaman Sr. Gymnasium.

James Baria and Joehna Mae Abapo were awarded as 1st runners-up, Erwin Mel and Alexia Candelaria as 2nd runners-up and Carl Lorenz Dizon and Akane Nakano for 3rd place. Special awards were also given to the candidates.

SDCA ipinagdiwang ang Buwan ng Wika

Ang nagkamit ng unang gantimpala sa patimpalak ng Pagsayaw 

ng Singkil mula sa mag-aaral ng SASE. Kuha ni Erwin Aquino

Ang pagdiriwang na ito ay pinangunahan ng Departamento ng Agham at Edukasyon. Ang doksolohiya at ang Lupang Hinirang ay inawit ng SDCA Tagintinig na sinundan ng pagpapakilala ni Prop. Imelda H. San Diego, Tagapangulo ng Buwan ng Wika, 2013, sa Panauhing Pandangal.

Isang mensahe naman ukol sa wika ang tinalakay ng panauhing pandangal na si Dr. Nilda W. Balsicas, Pangalawang Pangulong Pang-akademiko at Pananaliksik. Umawit naman ng  kundiman si Bb. Bianca M. Cancio mula sa ABMMA2A na sinundan nang pagpapakilala  sa mga hurado na ginampanan ni Prop.  Federico Castro.

TG EIC bags top awards in 7th SPAM Nat’l Confab

John Michael O. Samuel, Editor-in-Chief of the Gateway Group of Publications, won first place in Editorial Writing at the 7th Annual National Convention of the School Press Advisers’ Movement (SPAM) September 13, 2013 at JJ’s Seafood Village, Tagbilaran City, Bohol.

Samuel also won second place for Opinion Story writer of the year during the event. Samuel’s Editorial piece, which bested over 30 other contestants, revolved around the relation between environmental security and the government pork barrel, a theme coined by SPAM Resource Speaker Mr. Bingo Dejaresco, Editor-in-Chief of the local Bohol Chronicle.
