Hodge Podge

Shout out!

There are simple things in our institution that might not get your attention but maybe, just maybe, it might mean something to each and eveyone without us knowing it. Well here are some of my observations and comments that might be the same as yours.

Every time I got off the mini bus, the first thing that I will notice while walking is the tarpaulin of the students who joined and excelled in the competitions. I think it’s a good thing that they are given this kind of recognition. Keep it up!

During the time when it was announced that typhoon Yolanda will be hitting Philippines, our school take necessary actions such as rolling up the tarpaulins and the “roof” of Café Al Fresco. Do you think it might be better if they change the cover of Al Fresco with a real roof in case such scenario will happen again?

When typhoon Yolanda struck our country, our kababayans were caught off guard even with all the precautions and reminders of our government. And there are a lot of what ifs running in my mind. What if the government used words that are easier to understand? Will it make our kababayans be more alert and would they evacuate their respective places? What if they evacuated? Can it save more lives? And what if Yolanda hit Cavite? Are we Caviteños prepared?

Cavite is a historic, picturesque and scenic province providing a place conducive for both business and leisure. And guess what? SDCA’s tagline “Revolutionizing Education” is very fitting for our location.

This simple transformations that I have noticed can either be bad or good and it can be considered as a criticism or compliment. But remember that being an observant member of the academic community can help its institution to move forward for a better future.
