Is this for real?
What I mean is the fight between Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao and Floyd “Pretty Boy Money” Mayweather Jr. Both fighters are dubbed to be the reigning pound for pound king of our generation. News have spread that they agreed to fight for the first time since the day that the Pacquiao Team was courting the Mayweather Team to win the chances of seeing the “Best Fight of the decade.”
I am sure that this boxing match will gain a very high record in history of boxing and earn a lot of money. All of us are waiting for this match to come true and be the explosive sporting event for 2014. But what is the meaning of this match up? For entertainment or for proving who is the best fighter of the world?
If it is needed for entertainment purposes, then that is good but if this fight will become proof of whoever will be the “Best Boxer in the World,” then that would be a bit ridiculous for they are both champions in their own right. At first they have already proved what they’ve got, no one should ever say that they are not the best fighter in their own footsteps because gaining those kinds of titles isn’t that easy to do, and not every boxer can do that in their boxing lives. And furthermore they’ve already bagged the highest award in the history of Boxing Organization.
Watching our Filipino pride to step at the highest rank of the best boxer in the world is a great compliment for all of us.
